The Salmon population of the West coast of North America consists of 5 species. Sockeye Salmon, Coho Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Chum Salmon and Pink Salmon. All 5 of these species go on different salmon runs from to Pacific ocean to Alberta and British Columbia in Canada aswell as Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, and even the outskirts of Montana and Nevada in the United States. Some of these species also live on the other side of the pacific ocean in Russia, China and Japan.
